Dr. Suhas Tuli

Clinical Expertise and Specialties

Dr. Suhas Tuli, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained corneal and refractive surgeon. She specializes in LASIK surgery, small incision, no-stitch cataract surgery, astigmatism management, and Corneal transplant surgery including Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK). Dr. Tuli performs a wide range of ocular surface reconstructive procedures, including pterygium excisions and full-thickness corneal transplants such as penetrating karatoplasty (PKP). She also has extensive experience in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, performing procedures such as Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) and Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS). In addition, Dr. Tuli treats infectious and inflammatory conditions of the cornea, conjunctiva and sclera, and manages posterior vitreous detachment and other retinal conditions.

Education, Training, & Leadership

Dr. Tuli completed a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Following her ophthalmology residency, she completed a second fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Tuli has served as the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Providence St Joseph, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She enjoys speaking at ophthalmology conferences, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals. In her spare time, she likes to dance (and loves to perform), and enjoys gardening and cooking with her husband and daughter.
